Invoices & Clients
Invoices, proformas, delivery notes, receipts and the partner registry.
What it covers
Issuing and tracking sales documents — tax invoices, credit notes, proformas, delivery notes, receipts — together with the partner registry and per-client balances.
Worth knowing
Every issued document has an accounting effect and, where e-Factura applies, a reporting obligation. Neither is optional and they cannot be switched off separately.
An issued credit note (storno) reduces the balance of the invoice it reverses. When it covers the invoice in full, the invoice becomes Fully credited: it no longer shows as overdue, gets no reminders or late fees, and can no longer be paid online. If it had already been collected, it shows as Credited — refund due: you owe the customer what they paid. A partial credit note leaves only the difference to pay. Tax reports (sales journal, D300, D394, SAF-T) keep both documents at their full value. To undo a mistaken storno, cancel the credit note, not the original invoice.
Partner alerts
Every morning Brivio checks the clients and suppliers you have open invoices with against ANAF and the Trade Registry. When one becomes inactive, is struck off, enters insolvency, dissolution or liquidation, loses its VAT registration, leaves the RO e-Factura registry, or moves into or out of cash-accounting VAT, the change appears under Contacts → Partner alerts, ranked by severity and then by open balance (the receivable for clients, the payable for suppliers).
- Organization admins get one digest per day (in-app and email) with the top five changes, never one notification per partner.
- Every row has a "What it means" explanation: for example, VAT on invoices from an inactive supplier is not deductible (art. 11(4) of the Romanian Tax Code), and a receivable from a struck-off client can be expensed with the output VAT adjusted.
- "Acknowledge" marks an alert as read; the action is recorded in the audit trail.
- The affected contact gets a badge (Inactive at ANAF / Struck off) in the list and on its page.
- The first check of a partner records a baseline and raises no alerts.
