Finance

Banks, receipts, payments, reconciliation and cash flow.

What it covers

Importing bank statements, the rules that match incoming payments to invoices, cash registers in RON and foreign currency, and the balance and cash-flow view.

Worth knowing

Reconciliation rules apply in priority order; the first rule that matches wins. A wrongly matched transaction is unlinked, not deleted — the broken link stays in the audit trail.

Instant payments and Verification of Payee

Accounting → Banking → Instant payments & VoP (/accounting/banking/instant-payments) shows how ready the company is for Regulation (EU) 2024/886. A Romanian bank must receive SEPA Instant euro transfers from 9 January 2027, and send them and check the payee's name (Verification of Payee) from 9 July 2027; euro-area banks already check names since 9 October 2025.

  • Instant credits. When the bank statement or the bank connection says a credit came as SEPA Instant (INST), Brivio records it. A credit pushed by the bank (Revolut webhook) is synced at once and gets an invoice suggestion within seconds; you still confirm it.
  • Supplier name check. When you add a supplier IBAN, Brivio compares the supplier's name with the names your bank statements show for that IBAN: match, close match, no match, or not verifiable. With a Revolut Business connection you can also ask the bank (it counts against Revolut's daily check limit). A mismatch is a warning; it never blocks saving or paying.
  • EUR invoices. A EUR invoice prints your EUR account when you have one. The QR code stays a standard EPC transfer code; the payer's bank decides whether to send it instantly, at no extra cost.

With the assistant

The assistant can look for an action you ask about ("match this payment", "why was this e-Factura rejected") and run it for you:

  • Reads run directly: invoice candidates for a bank transaction, a dry run of your bank rules, supplier payment batches, a check of an invoice against the e-Factura rules (ANAF is not contacted), a plain-language explanation of an SPV message.
  • Changes need your click: matching a payment (this records the accounting entry), ignoring or unmatching a bank line, turning a bank rule on or off, cancelling a payment batch, holding an invoice back from automatic e-Factura sending, creating or cancelling a payment link. You see what will change and approve it.
  • Only you can: submit to ANAF, send an invoice, record a payment, issue a credit note, approve a payment batch. The assistant prepares and checks, then tells you where to click.

The assistant only offers actions your role allows and only for the modules your organization uses.
