Migration

How to move your data to Brivio from SAGA and other software.

Every import starts from Settings → Switch to Brivio. There you drop the exports from your old software, and Advanced tools takes you to the dedicated pages: Migration assistant (the SAGA database, the SPV archive, SAF-T, the reconciliation report), the Excel/CSV import, opening balances, fixed assets and article codes. You need permission to write data in the company.

  1. Prepare the data in your old software using the checklist.
  2. Import: from SAGA with the .FDB database, from other software following the per-source guide.
  3. Compare the trial balance in the reconciliation report and fix any differences before you issue your first invoice in Brivio.

What happens to your files

Uploaded files are kept encrypted only as long as the import needs them. The SAGA database is deleted after the import is applied (or after 7 days at most if you never apply it). Files uploaded on the public Switch to Brivio page, before you have an account, are deleted within 24 hours.

If something went wrong

In Migration assistant → Import history you see every import, can download its error report and can revert an import that created wrong data. Reverting deletes only what the import created and nothing has used since; a posted opening entry is never deleted, it is corrected with a reversal. What exactly a SAGA import revert undoes is described in From SAGA.
